Big ups to the people who run full time jobs, homes, businesses, school, & still get up at make it to mass.
In lieu of celebrating the (finally) end to quarter 6 of 8 for my graduate degree, I enjoyed myself with some fine liquor and christmassy catch-up with one of my besties. Two edibles & drinks later, we found our merry-selves Lyfting home, & I couldn’t help but wonder why the heck I consented to getting up at 4am again.
Day 5 has shown me we sit, stand, kneel approximately 15 times each mass. I’ll count more sufficiently tomorrow. I’m also doing this thing during mass, where I say “in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Womb (yes, I touch my sacral chakra too), & Holy Spirit”. It’s important to remember you’re still sovereign in these very automated spaces. And, it’s still completing a sign-of-the-cross motion.
